A deep green hue, inspired by aviation gear, TOP GUN pilot uniforms, and the vast forested landscapes used for training exercises: “Woodland” is the latest addition to IWC’s colored ceramic range, and the Pilot’s Watch Chronograph TOP GUN Edition “Woodland” is the first model to feature this color.
Colored ceramics are the result of sophisticated manufacturing processes in which zirconium oxide is combined with other metallic oxides. Since the color changes during the sintering process, numerous tests and a high level of expertise are required to determine the precise raw material mixture.
The monochromatic design is completed by a dark green dial, black and pale green luminescent hands and printed details. The pushers, crown, and case back—engraved with the TOP GUN logo—are crafted from Ceratanium®. This matte black IWC-developed material is as unbreakable and lightweight as titanium while being as hard and scratch-resistant as ceramic.
The 44 mm ceramic case houses the IWC-manufactured 69380 calibre. This classic column-wheel chronograph movement also features day and date displays at 3 o’clock. A soft-iron inner case protects the movement from magnetic fields.
This TOP GUN chronograph comes with a green rubber strap featuring a fabric inlay, perfectly matched to the “Woodland” case.
