Following the reunification of Germany in 1989, A. Lange & Söhne began working to relaunch the Manufacture in the sector and on the international scene. PISA 1940 - in the figure of the then general director Fabio Bertini - made the first contacts, believing in the relaunch of the Manufacture. Lange & Söhne has always focused on limited production and the use of noble materials such as gold; until that moment there had never been a Lange & Söhne in steel but Günther Blümlein, who supported the relaunch of the manufacture together with Walter Lange, took up the challenge. With Lange & Söhne movement, 72 hours of power reserve, large date, hours, minutes, seconds and - of course - steel case, sixteen steel timepieces with white dials were produced, all of which sold like hot cakes, and only three with black dials . A discreet timepiece but of inestimable value thanks to the use of a material that has become precious only because it was "unpublished" in the Lange & Söhne production process.
