HOW TO PAY IN INSTALLMENTS WITH ALMA

How Alma's installment
payment works

Our online store offers our customers the opportunity to pay in installments online with Alma. You can choose to pay for your purchases in up to 12 monthly installments with a few simple clicks, and receive the product immediately. Add the product you are interested in to your cart, and at checkout, choose payment with Alma.

Payments with 10 and 12 installments include a commission which can be viewed on the Alma portal once one of these two installment options is chosen.



Which cards does Alma accept?

Alma accepts bank cards issued in the following countries: Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Portugal, and Spain, that are part of the American Express, Mastercard and Visa networks (Maestro is excluded). Accepted cards can be debit, prepaid, or credit.

This can depend on the card used, for example:

- Expiring card: if the card expires before the end of the payment plan, it is automatically declined.
- Insufficient funds: the first installment must be available on the card.
- Set limits: monthly spending limit exceeded or limits for online purchases.

- SMS code not received or bank app notification not displayed
- "online purchases" option not activated on the bank app (common with Postepay)
- bank notification not confirmed by the customer
- incorrect or expired code entered
- process abandoned midway (e.g., screen closed before completion)
- bank app not updated or experiencing technical issues
- additional documents or information not uploaded or uploaded incorrectly

This is an additional authentication system required by the bank during online payments, which Alma uses to ensure transaction security and prevent fraud.

The customer can view the instalment payment plan when making a purchase, before completing it, where they will see the monthly instalment including interest.

The return and subsequent refund are handled by the store, and if the order was paid with Alma, the amounts already paid will be refunded within 48 hours, and any remaining payments will be automatically cancelled.

It is possible to postpone the due date of one or more installments free of charge. To do so, the customer must click on "manage payments" within the first email they received from Alma immediately after the purchase.
