To celebrate the inauguration of its new manufacture building in Plan-les-Ouates, Geneva, Patek Philippe unveiled a truly exceptional and unprecedented model: the Calatrava Ref. 6007A-001. Produced in a limited edition of only 1000 pieces worldwide, this timepiece represents a rare venture into stainless steel for the Maison—an unusual choice for the traditionally gold-clad Calatrava line, making it especially sought-after by collectors.
The polished stainless steel case, measuring 40 mm with a broad domed bezel, gives the watch a modern, sporty look while maintaining the timeless elegance the Calatrava collection is known for. The grey-blue dial stands out thanks to its circular satin finish and a center decorated with a carbon-style motif, referencing the high-tech spirit of the new building and enhancing light reflections.
Applied Arabic numerals in 18K white gold, painted white and filled with luminescent coating, pair with openworked baton-style hands in matching white gold to ensure excellent legibility and a distinctly contemporary aesthetic. The dial also features a date window at 3 o’clock and a white-painted bronze seconds hand, completing a technically refined and well-balanced layout.
Inside ticks the Caliber 324 S C, a self-winding movement crafted in-house to the highest standards of precision and finishing. It can be admired through the sapphire crystal case back, adorned with a special commemorative inscription marking the Plan-les-Ouates facility.
The watch is fitted with a calfskin strap embossed with a fabric-like texture, enhanced by white stitching and a stainless steel pin buckle—adding a dynamic, casual touch to this otherwise elegant piece.
The Patek Philippe Calatrava Ref. 6007A-001 is already considered a collector’s item, not only for its limited production but also for its unique aesthetic and commemorative significance within the Patek universe. A perfect union of tradition, innovation, and celebration.
